Think of the biggest names of Latin American actors, and you can probably guess who is coming Sunday to Kissimmee to host a voter rally ahead of Election Day.
America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Gina Rodriguez, Rosario Dawson and Zoe Saldana have teamed up with political action committee the Latino Victory Fund to urge Floridians, specifically Florida’s Hispanic voters, to turn out and vote on Tuesday.
The rally Sunday starts at 10 a.m. at Infantry Veterans Park on Buenaventura Boulevard.
Florida’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Andrew Gillum, is relying on Florida’s large Puerto Rican and Hispanic population to help him become the first Democrat to hold the Sunshine State’s top office in 24 years.
Gillum’s wife, R. Jai Gillum, will be at the rally Sunday, along with Rep. Nydia Velazquez, the first Puerto Rican woman to be elected to U.S. Congress, and Rep. Darren Soto.
Gillum faces President Donald Trump’s pick for Florida governor, Rep. Ron DeSantis, on Nov. 6.
