The Orlando Pride take on the Washington Spirit Saturday after a home loss last week and Alex Morgan’s second game since her return from playing in France.

Kickoff at the Maryland SoccerPlex is at 3:30 p.m. The game will stream on NWSLsoccer.com and air on the Lifetime TV network.

The Pride (4-5-3, 15 points) need this away win to stay in the running for a playoff spot.

The Spirit (3-6-2, 11 points) are undefeated against the Pride, including a 1-1 draw in April, according to the NWSL.

Currently, Orlando ranks sixth and the Spirit is in 10th place in the NWSL standings.

“[Washington] are at the bottom of the standings now, but if you look from bottom to top anyone can beat anyone on any given day. They’ve obviously brought in Mallory Pugh, which has given them a big burst and an injection of skill up front,” Pride head coach Tom Sermanni said.

It will be defender Ali Kreiger’s first game back in Maryland since the Pride acquired her in November.

Fans are eager to see how Morgan plays with her new teammate, powerhouse player Marta.

Marta played her debut for the Pride against the Spirit, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Pride return to Orlando in their next match against FC Kansas City.
